I've often looked at the Sweeties Sketch blog and wanted to play along. So this month I was determined and created both a scrap page and card. (Mind you I only did the card late last night.) But I'm pretty happy with how they both turned out. Sorry about the quality of the scrap page. Still trying to work that one out!
Back again with a quick post of my entry to Keesh's challenge for this week. Recently some friends of ours brought a house so I thought I would use this challenge to create them a 'Congratulatory' card. Nice and simply, yet effective. Thanks again Keesh for the inspiration.
(Supplies:- cardstock - basic grey, black, white, taken with teal, so saffron dsp paper; ink - taken with teal; stamp - say it with scallops; punch - scallop square; accessories - ribbon, paper piercing)
This week I found Keesh's challenge very, um ..... challenging. I have never used the colours - mellow moss and always artichoke before, but to my surprise I actually quite liked them in this colour combination. Thanks heaps Keesh!
I liked the combination that much I created two cards:
(Supplies:- cardstock - always artichoke, mellow moss, rose red, very vanilla; ink; always artichoke, mellow moss, rose red; stamp - pocket silhouettes; punch - round tab; accessories - ribbon, paper piercing)
(Supplies:- cardstock - always artichoke, mellow moss, rose red, very vanilla; paper - rose red dsp; ink - always artichoke, mellow moss, rose red; stamp - floral background, oh, so lovely, warm words; punches; 1 1/4" & 1 3/8" circles, small & large ovals; accessories - ribbon, blender pen, paper piercing)
Back again with another entry in the kwerner colour challenge. I haven't felt like doing too much lately (except craft of course) because we are all sick with the flu, except my husband (lucky him). This is my 2nd entry, hope you like it.
(Supplies:- cardstock - pumpkin pie, deep red, ballet blue, certainly celery, whisper white; paper - so saffron dsp, certainly celery dsp; stamp - best yet; punches - 3 x circle; accessories - die cut flowers, ribbon)
I have always wanted to enter a card in a kwerner colour challenge, even though I have never used this colour combination before I decided to give it a go. I am loving the Petal Pizzazz stamp set at the moment so I used it to create this card:-
(Supplies:- cardstock - deep red, ballet blue, whisper white; ink - deep red, pumpkin pie, so saffron, certainly celery, ballet blue; stamps - petal pizzazz, warm words; punches - 2 x oval; accessories - ribbon, paper piercing.)
The inspiration for Leah's monthly challenge was the above dinosaur bedding. I did a bit of digging around in my craft cupboard and found a Kaiserstamp of a dinosaur - lucky hey! I've also used Keesh's sketch from this week's challenge. This is what I came up with, a cute BOY card.
Hey guys sorry it's been so long since my last post. It has been school holidays here, so I've had the three kids at home. But now there back at school and kindy, so I have some free time again. YIPEE! I was feeling really creative on Tueday night and decided to create two cards for Keesh's challenge this week. Here's the first:
(Supplies:- cardstock - riding hood red, pumpkin pie, so saffron, very vanilla; paper - washington apple; ink - riding hood red; stamps - petal pizzazz, short & sweet; punches - slit, 1/4 & 1/8 circle; accessories - ribbon)
and the second:
(Supplies:- cardstock - baja breeze, not quite navy, basic grey, whisper white; paper - urban oasis; ink - versamark, baja breeze; stamps - fifth avenue floral, best yet; punches - eyelet border, 1 1/4 & 1 3/8 circle; accessories - die cut flower, ribbon & paper piercing.)
I'm really happy with the second card, I absolutely love the fifth avenue floral stamp set and urban oasis dsp paper. The colours are gorgeous too. Hope you like.
